J1939 ROUTER
A-J1939
The J1939 Router provides a powerful and easy to configure solution to exchange data between SAE J1939 devices and a Logix controller via EtherNet/IP.
- SAE J1939 to Logix
- Bidirectional Data Exchange
- PGN Browsing
- Auto Scaling to Engineering Units
- Direct-to-Tag Technology
- Generates Logix Tags and UDTs in L5X File
- Built-in Packet Analyser

Overview
The J1939 Router enables a Logix controller to not only receive multiple PGNs (Parameter Group Number) data from J1939 devices, but also operate as multiple J1939 devices producing data on the J1939 network.
J1939 data is automatically formatted and scaled to engineering units when exchanged with Logix.
Configuration is simplified by combining Aparian's Direct-To-Tag technology with the integrated J1939 database. This allows a user to browse to the required PGN and map it directly to a Logix tag.
The J1939 Router is configured using the Aparian Slate application. Slate can be used to create the required UDT (user-defined data types) containing all component SPN (Suspect Parameter Numbers) in the L5X format, which can easily be imported in Studio 5000.
The J1939 Router is packed with diagnostic information including an on-board packet capture utility, PGN monitor, and node live list.
The module can operate in both a Logix “owned” and standalone mode. With a Logix connection the input and output assemblies will provide additional diagnostics information which will be available in the Logix controller environment.
A built-in webserver provides detailed diagnostics of system configuration and operation.
